Why we hosted this talk
A serious illness such as cancer can affect a person's ability to make decisions, and can shorten their life.
Without an LPA, the family may need to apply to the court before they can act for the person. Without a will, the estate is divided under the intestacy rules.
Guests were offered help with making an LPA.
