Privacy policy
Last updated: October 2026.
This policy explains how The Legacy Desk collects, uses, discloses and protects personal data, in line with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA).
What we collect
Through the estate check, we collect only the information you choose to give us: your name, your WhatsApp number, the name of the adviser who referred you, if any, and your answers to the estate check. We also use Google Analytics, which sets cookies, to see how the website is used. Estate check submissions, including the report image, are stored by our website host, Netlify. We use a measurement tool from OpenAI on every page. It records whether visitors submit the estate check or tap our email or WhatsApp links, so that we can see which ChatGPT advertisements are useful. It does not receive your name or WhatsApp number.
Why we collect it
We use this information only to prepare and send you your report and, if you ask for one, to arrange a free first meeting on Zoom or Microsoft Teams. We do not sell personal data. We do not share it outside The Legacy Desk and the licensed advisory firm its advisers represent, except with your consent, such as when you ask to be introduced to one of our partners, or where required by law.
Consent
We collect personal data through the estate check only with your consent, which you give when you submit the form. You may withdraw your consent at any time, after which we will stop using your data.
Protection and retention
Personal data is stored on systems with restricted access. We keep it only for as long as it is needed for the purposes above or as required by law, and then dispose of it securely.
Access, correction and removal
To access, correct or delete your personal data, or to withdraw your consent, please email us at thelegacydesk@gmail.com or message us on WhatsApp using the link at the foot of this page. We will respond to every request within 30 days.
Information shared during a meeting
Information you share during a meeting, including any notes we make, is used only for your estate plan. It is handled in accordance with the written consent you give at the time and, where applicable, the policies of the licensed advisory firm.
